After months of working with displaced children, we saw the importance of giving them an outlet to express themselves—to find joy in color and light amid uncertain times.

Painting the Future was founded in 2022 by U.S.-based volunteers in response to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. In 2023, we expanded our programs to the United States.

Artmaking inspires creativity, encourages self-expression, and gives children the opportunity to simply be kids.
